Owner - Tattoo Peter - 40+ years of experience • Japanese and Oriental styles
My name is Eddy Wertwijn, born on September 27, 1962 in Diemen. My fascination for tattoos started when I ended up at Tattoo Peter in Amsterdam at the age of 14. Tattoos were rare in my area at that time, and although I found it exciting at first, I quickly became fascinated. At the age of 17, I officially started at Tattoo Peter, where I first colored tattoos and slowly learned the art of tattooing.
After more than 40 years of experience, I now work from my private studio in Noordbeemster and at Tattoo Peter in Amsterdam. Here I can create unique tattoos in peace and with full attention, with a strong focus on Japanese and Oriental styles.
Classic Craftsmanship and Timeless Tattoos
My work draws inspiration from Japanese and Oriental traditions, combined with my large collection of classic flash. Over the years, I have built up a large collection of those old-school flash designs—the original, timeless designs that have shaped the tattoo world. This collection is in the studio, a nod to the time when a tattoo was simply grabbed off the wall and done.
In addition to custom work, I also regularly tattoo from my flash collection. Whether you choose a classic design or something custom, I provide a tattoo that stands firm, with straight lines, strong shadows and good balance.
Private and exclusive setting
My studio in Noordbeemster offers a quiet and personal experience, where every customer gets full attention. No busy shop, but focus on you and your tattoo.
Years of experience
With over 40 years of experience as a tattoo artist, I combine craftsmanship with a deep understanding of different styles, especially the Japanese and Oriental style.
An eye for detail and originality
My background at Tattoo Peter has given me a deep appreciation for authentic designs. I create tattoos that are both technically perfect and unique on your skin.
